Puppetry Guild of Pittsburgh, Glitter Box Theater and Black Unicorn: Library and Archives Project are partnering to present two performances by puppeteer Tarish Pipkins. Originally from the Greater Pittsburgh area, Pipkins returns from his current home in North Carolina. Often made out of reclaimed materials, his complex puppets have been used in everything from street performance to children’s education to music videos with internationally recognized recording artists.

Congratulations to Cheryl Capezzuti for the article in Puppetry Journal, How Monsters Can Create Community by Michael J. Vetere III and Samatha Anne Maggio! The piece describes Capezzuti’s visiting artist project at Illinois State University and her focus in puppetry as a “community-building experience.”
